Tensions mounting

Club Babylon.........

Brody - "Who's your friend!"

Chris - " An old acquaintance."

Frank - "Oh that's all I am now huh!"

Brody - ( sticking his hand out) " The name is Brody..."

Frank - " At least he has some frigging manners, Frank."

Chris - " Frank use to be my roommate back in college."

Brody - " oh I see."

Frank - " So he never told you about his "college years huh!"

Brody - " I really never asked him about his college life."

Frank - " Well this Asshole owes me..big time!"

Chris - " I don't owe you shit buddy!"

Brody - "Frank listen what ever your issues you have with Chris is between you and him. Let's just enjoy ourselves tonight...let me buy you a drink."

Frank - " Sorry for interfering with your little get together tonight."

Frank walked away from the group.....

Brody - " Obviously he's got issues!"

Chris - " You don't even know the half of it."

Brody - " Forget about him lets just have a good time OK."

Chris - " I already forgot him."

Brody - " Here is to a awesome night."

Chris - " I'll drink to that."

Both men clanked their classes together......

Jeremy - " Are you girls over your little drama because I want to dance."

Brody - " Everything is OK with me how about you Chris ! " 

Chris - " Lets go tear that dance floor up."

On the dance floor, Jeremy , Chris and Brody  bust a move

Brody - " You know how long its been since I dances."

Jeremy - " Probably at last years New Years Eve party where you were a little drunk that night."

Brody - " Your probably right. I never had such a blast then that night."

Chris - " Well this years party better be one that I am invited to."

Jeremy - " Hopefully we will have dates to take.

Brody - " I will definately be bringing someone."

Jeremy - " First you need to brush up on your dancing skills!"

Brody - " I think I am doing just fine thank you."

Jeremy - " Maybe if you get a couple more in ya ."

Brody - " Well the night is still young my friend!."

Brody and his friends continued to dance.......

Brody - " I'll be right back I have to take a leak!"

Jeremy - " Can you get me a drink when you come back."

Brody smirked and Jeremy who was grinning from ear to ear.

After using the bathroom,Brody went up towards to the front of the club. He noticed that it was starting to get pretty busy.

Brody - " James can you get me another atomic bomb please."

James- " Coming right up."

Brody - " Make sure you make it strong its for Jeremy."

Stranger - " Excuse me  but don't  I  know you from some where!."

Brody turned to see a man dressed in a business suit

Brody - " Not ringing a bell."

Stranger - " Oh sorry the name is Jack. I'm new to the area .  I was transferred to Sterling enterprises."

Brody - " Sterling Enterprises huh! "

Jack - " Yeah I thought you were a client that came to see us today."

Brody - " You must got me mistaken for some one else."

Jack - " I apologize...its just that you look like a guy who came into the office today."

Brody - " Nope can't say I have ever been in your office but its nice to meet you anyway."

Jack - " Same here, do you visit this establishment often.'

Brody - " Actually I am the club manager , I had the night off so me and a couple of buddies of mine  are enjoying the night off.."

Jack - "Well if you ever need to advertise this place I can definitely help you ."

Brody - "Sweet! That would be totally something  I  would be interested in."

Jack - " Lets talk over at that table over there."

Brody - " Ok "

Brody - " So what exactly does your company do if I may ask.'

Jack - " We advertise businesses and help them with publicizing and stuff like that."

Brody -" The magic question is whats it gonna cost."

Jack - " It all depends on what you want done. Before I leave I can give you a business card so we can set up a consultation if you like."

Brody - " I will definitely have to run it across the owner first but I don't see him saying no."

Jack - " Great! So...you manage this place. Must be tiring to do."

Brody - " Actually Its not that bad. I've been doing this for awhile now ."

Jack - " How long have you been a manager here"

Brody - " I actually just started about a week ago but I use to manage a club called the Metro but it went out of business."

Jack - " I am pretty  new to this city so I don't know about many places here yet."

Brody - " Where did you move from ."

Jack - " I just moved here from Dallas Texas."

Brody - " Holy shit all the way down there! I never been there myself."

Jack - " It's pretty busy there plus its really hot."

Brody - " The biggest city I have ever lived in was Los Angeles but that was a few years ago."

Jack - " LA is definitely a huge city. Are you  from here originally."

Brody - " No I am originally from Brooklyn but my parents moved here when I was five I think."

Jack - " Well its definitely nice to meet new people here."

Brody - " If you come here regularly  you will definitely meet alot of people."

Jack - " I don't really go out much due to my work."

Brody - " All work and no fun I see."

Jack - " Sorta but I am definitely going to try to come here more often."

Going out with the boys ( Updated)

Later that night Brody decided to go out to the club with his best friends Chris and Jeremy.

Jeremy - " I hope you boys can hang with the big boys tonight."

Brody - " Don't you worry about that I think we got that covered."

Chris - " Do you guys think I look ok."

Jeremy - " You look great now come on."

Chris - " I think I should have worn my other shirt."

Jeremy - " For christ sakes man you look fine. You ain't gonna get lucky tonight anyway ."

Chris - " You never know I might  get laid  tonight."

Jeremy - " Your such a bone head!" 

Chris - " Hey you never know tonight might be the night."

Jeremy starts to laugh, " Ok lover boy now can we go in now."

Chris - " OK I'm going, I'm going ..sheeeze!"

Jeremy - " Well get going then...."

Inside the club........

The club was filled with loud music which you could hear from outside and people  talking loudly due to the music. Brody and his pals made their way up to the clubs bar.                                                                                          

Jeremy - " Wow this place is packed tonight."

Brody - " Well yeah it's opening night lets get something to drink."

Chris - " This place is awesome...they even have a dart board."

Brody - " Hey James can I get three draft beers please!"

James - " Sure coming right up."

Brody - " Thanks."

Jeremy - " Damn this place is huge. Where is the dance floor at."

Brody - " It's in the back."

Chris - " Sure has some nice looking honeys in here!"

Jeremy - " Man is sex the only thing on your brain tonight!"

Chris -" No but hey if it happens it happens."

James - " Here is your drinks fellas."

Brody - " Thank James."

Brody gave his friends their drinks 

Brody - " Here is to good friends."

Jeremy - " I'll drink to that."

Chris - " Cheers."

Brody -  " Lets go check out the dance floor." 

Jeremy - " Sounds good to me."

Brody led the way to the back of the club.

Jeremy - " This dance floor is sweet."

Brody  - " We just got the new light installed a couple of days ago."

Jeremy - " The light do make a huge difference back here. "

Chris - " Man the music is so loud back here I can't hear myself think."

Jeremy - " What did you expect."

Chris - " I really like the Djs music he is playing, does he do requests."

Brody - " Yeah he does and make sure you tip him if you request something."

Chris - " Tip the Dj! I never heard of that before."

Brody - He does play some really nice hits."

Jeremy - " I thought they were putting a bar in the back too."

Brody - " They did have plans to but decided to put that on hold for now."

Jeremy - " Well it would have been really nice but hey that's the breaks right."

Chris felt a hand on his should 

Frank - " What the hell are you doing here"

Chris - " I can ask you the same question."

Frank - " Thanks for screwing me over like you did."

Chris - " What! I screwed you,  you mean you screwed me!"

Frank started to laugh, " Yeah we know the truth on that one don't we."

Chris - " Look Frank this ain't the time or place to be having this discussion,"

Frank - " Why not! You afraid your little friends might find out  that you are a prick!"

Chris - " Can I just call you later and we can discuss it then."

Frank - "Oh I don't think so we are going to get this out in the open right now."

Opening Soon

    Brody decided to go into work a little early so he can get some ordering done. The club was temporary shut down due to remodeling but was scheduled to open this weekend.

                                               Brody - (To himself) Man i can't believe some of the prices of some of these shot bottles.Hopefully I can find a distributor who is reasonable.

Brody didn't hear the door open as Ed approached where he was sitting

Ed - " So getting the last minute details done are we."

Brody - " Well sort of , I've been looking to see what bottles we need to stock the shelf for the bar."

Ed- " Have you found anyone who had decent prices." 

Brody - "I did find a couple but i'm not sure about the one though."

Brody - " I got in contact with the one via email but the other i'm probably gonna have to call."

Ed- " What about that place over near Crandis  Street. We have dealt with them before."

Brody - " I don't like their delivery service, it's always a day or so late ."

Ed- " Well they might have to be the one we go through."

Brody - " Yeah as a last resort. I did get a hold of the beer distributor and the delivery will be here by this weekend so we don't have to worry there."

Ed- "That's definitely good news now back to the current issue."

Brody - " Take a look at what i pulled up on my laptop. There is several ones that we can choose from. "

Ed - I didn't realize there was so many in this town!"

Brody - " Some of these are in near by towns which makes them out of the question."

Ed- " What about this one right here! They seem to have decent prices on their bottles."

Brody - " That's the one I'm gonna call here to see what the delivery time would be."

Brody - " Maybe we can get them to give us a good deal."

Ed- " Well that's why I hired you as my manager because getting deals is right up your ally."

Brody - " Plus I make a killer drink as well."

Ed smirked and started to smile, " You definitely are gifted." 

Ed- " Well what ever you decide to do is ok with me but you better get an order in quickly or I'll be sending you or James to the liquor store to get them."

Brody - It would probably be cheaper to do just that."

                               Brody - "Speaking of James, Did you give my Idea anymore thought." 

Ed - " I did give it some thought but I am not 100% sure about it."

Brody - " I think it will definitely bring in more business."

Ed - " It probably would but I have to think about it some more."

Brody - " It's a great idea!"

Brody - " I did some calculations and believe me its gonna rake in the Benjamins."

Ed - " How about we sit down next week and go over the details."

Brody - " Next week will work just let me know when."

Ed - " I'll let you know but I got to get going. i have to pick up the wife at the airport and she hates it when I have to make her wait."

Brody - " Well tell the misses that I said hello."

" Ed - " I will but thanks again for doing what you do best.'

Brody - " You know I  always do!"

Ed shook Brodys hand the turned to leave

Ten Minutes later...........................                                                                                         

                                                                             

          Brody gathered his stuff off the table and headed over to the bar so he could program the register.
